In Northrend, you can mine Cobalt Deposits at skill levels 350, 375, 400, and 450 in Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, and Grizzly Hills. Here you can yield 2-4 cobalt ore.

Some Rich Cobalt deposits are also present in the above-mentioned locations where you can yield 4-8 Cobalt ore. For Saronite ore, the best locations are Sholazar Basin, The Storm Peaks, Icecrown, and Wintergrasp.

You can Yield 2-4 Saronite ore at skill level 400, 425, 450, 500. The rich Saronite deposits are also present at the same locations where you can yield 5-7 Saronite ore. Mining Trainers In Wotlk

To skill up, you will need to learn mining from trainers. In Northrend, players will start with grandmaster trainers. You can find alliance, horde, and neutral trainers in diverse zones of Northerend.

Alliance trainers are available in Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra. You can train with Grumbol Stoutpick in Valgarde and Fendrig Redbeard in Valiance Keep.

Zul’Drak (350-425)

Sholazar Basin (400-450)

It is one of the potential zones for mining because it has veins of Titanium and remarkable deposits of Saronite. However, everyone is aware of the mineral fertility of the zone, so if it is jampacked with other players, so can always switch to Icecrown.

Icecrown (400-450)

Icecrown is also Saronite abundant area and you can find some here but you might have to encounter mobs and elites to get your hands on the stuff.

Wintergrasp (400-450)

This bag is crafted with Leatherworking and the recipe for it is a reputation reward from the Sons of the Hodir faction. This recipe is craftable at leatherworking level 15.
