The partnership between these two companies is turning heads as one of the pioneers in Ohio’s exclusive solar installation in the auto industry.

Why Parkway Honda Is Using Solar?
Saving money is one of the major factors when a dealership switches to solar but it has multiple advantages. The contribution to going green and reducing electricity bills also comes with added incentives.
As Mear said several factors played a role in the company’s decision to go with on-site power generation, inducting federal incentives and testimonies from the dealers across the county who have already transitioned to solar.
Biggart also said, “Installing solar is a cost-reduction strategy for entrepreneurial automotive dealers and is growing rapidly among auto dealer space countrywide.”
Often dealerships have abundant roof area which makes it more convenient to install solar arrays, that’s only wise to shed the burden of energy cost by transitioning the business space to solar power.

This array will produce 120.3 kilowatts of on-site power at Parkway Honda and generate more than $378000 worth of 20-year savings.
But That’s not it because this solar carports is also proving crucial in reducing carbon footprint by 91.9 metrics. CO2 emission is one of the major causes of air pollution, global warming, and weather changes, so reducing it through the solar system per year is equal to 1516 planted trees and 20 cars taken off the road.
Mear also seems happy with this contribution to the environment as he said, “By reducing our carbon footprint, we are achieving benefits beyond just reducing our electricity bills.”
