Cobalt is available in low-level areas of the Northerned, in wotlk. This ore is also of great importance to make notable items by other professions. You can find this ore in abundance in  Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, and Zul’Drak.

In Howling Fjord, there are plenty of clusters of cobalt around Camp Winterhoof, Gialerborn, Apothecary Camp, and UtGrade Keep. However, that’s not it, if you go along the Explorer’s League Outpost to New Agamand, you can collect a notable amount of cobalt ore. The other cobalt nodes are also shown in the picture below, you can always switch areas if there are multiple players mining in the same area.

Cobalt is a main ingredient in many Wotlk Engineering recipes. You can not make useful gear such as an Overcharged Capacitator, Froststeel Decoy, Refractor Scope, and Volatile Blasting Trigger. Many other items also require cobalt bars which are made through smelting.

Moreover, Cobalt belts, boots, bracers, shoulders, and other items for armory made by Blacksmiths need cobalt. Therefore, Crafting professions always go best with mining.

      Woltk Mining Routes For Saronite

Saronite is one of the exclusives of Wrath of the Lich King. This material is essential for many end-game gears and is always required by crafters. Once You are in the Northrend, you can find this ore at a number of places. However, you must reach a mining skill level of 400 before starting to dig Saronite. The major zones full of Saronite are Sholazar Basin, Icecrown, and StormPeaks.

If you are In Sholazar Basin make sure to go around Frenzyheart Hill, LifeBlood Pillar, and the Skyreach Pillar. Making your way all the way to River’s Heart and to Maker’s Overlook and Glimmering Pillar along the way will get you a high amount of Saronite ore.

This area is very crowded at times because of the contestant supply of Saronite ore. Therefore, if you want a little less contested zone, switch to the Nesigwar Base Camp and the Maker’s Reach from the Mosslight Pillar. The Mountainside in this area has abundant sources of Saronite.

If you are mining in Ice Crown, take the route from IcreCrown Citadel to Corprethar and cross Sindragosa’s Fall to get to the Argent Vanguard, you will find plenty of Saronite deposits. Fleshwerks is another place of some Saronite veins if other areas have more players, you can mine a few ores there.

Storm Peaks is also a good option for mining Saronite but you might need a flying mount to wander around the zone. However, the ores are in the cave so you will also need to dismount from time to time. The regions of Brunnhildar Village, Temple of Storms, Camp Tunkalo, and all the way back to Brunbhildar Village is the best way to mine Saronite. You can also find some reserves along the mountains of the snowdrift plains making a loop of areas shown in the picture below.

Blacksmiths also need Saronite to make Saronite Defender, protectors, legplates, and much more. Jewekcrafting can use Saronite for gems through prospecting and Alchemy can transmute Saronite bars into titanium.

      Woltk Mining Routes for Titanium

Titanium is a very profitable ore and is available in all zones of Northrend. You can mine it anywhere you have mined Saronite in Sholazar Basin, Icecrown, and Storm Peaks. Titanium ore needs a skill level of 450 before becoming available for mining.

You can mine Titanium in Sindragosa’s Fall, Argent Vanguard, and Icecrown Citadel. These mountainous edges of the zone are rich in titanium and the biggest cluster is around Argent Vanguard in same as saronite. You can also mine along the Fishwreks also have a few deposits which you can mine if other regions are populated.

Same as Saronite, Storm Peaks have a majority of the Titanium reserves inside the caves, so you can fly in this area and dismount to get to the ores from the caves. The area between Brunnhildar Village and Temple of Storms has a huge cluster of Titanium. You can find the ore nodes between the Terrace of the Makers, Camp Tunkalo, and the Thunderfalls.

Similarly, if you are mining in the Sholazar Basin, You can seek the Titanium nodes in Frenzyheart Hill. A large reserve is present around  River’s Heart and the Maker’s Overlook. A few scattered nodes are also present around all the Pillars in this zone. The below picture also shows a few other deposits of Titanium as well.
