Valorant Patch Notes: What’s New in the Latest Update

Introduction

This game is a big new game-changer. It has action, great visuals, and agents and gives an exciting experience to all skill levels. It is a pack of full thrill and action. This game is not static because it always changes and improves with time. It always goes through updates and gives rapid fixes.

Some new patch notes were recently introduced in Valorant with its 3.0,1 version. It was introduced on July 28, 2023. It has proposed some big adjustments with fixes to the agents, maps, and system. These new adjustments and updates are introduced due to the constant feedback from the players to enhance performance and balance with game quality. Agents

Here we will discuss new changes to the agents’ stats and abilities.

We will start with Sage now she has improved Healing Orb. She used to heal 60 HP in 10 seconds but now 75 HP in 5 seconds. Now she has improved and an efficient healing level. But at the same time, her resurrection has become ineffective. It used to be 7 points, but now it is 8, making it hard.

The second character is Breach, his ability of Flashpoint can make the enemies blind for 2 seconds, which used to be 1.75 seconds. It is a big advantage for Breach and his team as well. As well as his Rolling Thunder is also updated with some improvements; it can travel at a fast pace now and covers a lot of ground.

Now comes Viper; he has improved his quality of life. She can use the minimap to watch her toxic screen and poison cloud restrictions. She does not need to look directly to pick the Poison Cloud canister. These changes have given her many advantages regarding her skills.

There were also many fixed bugs for different agents, for example, where Omen can perform teleportation through some walls, where Reyna can receive overhealing from killing decoys, and where Killjoy can shoot through walls.

Weapons

In the recent update, some changes have also been introduced in the weapons category, such as accuracy, economy, damage, and recoil. Some of these changes are discussed below:

The damage capacity of the Sheriff has been increased; now, it can provide damage of 160 on the head, crack of 55 on the body, and 50 to the lower part of the body from any range. This entails that whatever the armored armor the enemy is wearing, the Sheriff can kill the enemy with a single shot. However, the fire rate has been reduced to 3.5 rounds a second.

Changes have also been brought in Bulldog; the recoil reduction has made it more stable, and its firing rate in Aim Down Sights mode has been enhanced to 9.15 rounds a second. Moreover, there has also been a reduction in the price, making it more affordable.

The changes in Operator are surprising, making it less attractive to buy. Firstly, the price increased to 5000 credits, 4700 credits earlier. Secondly, the scope’s speed during movement has also been reduced from 76% to 72%, making it harder to reposition the weapon. The time required to equip it has also been increased, thus reducing its agility.

In the weapon section, several bugs have also been fixed, such as glitches while switching the weapon, issues with the sounds of the weapons, and issues with the colors of weapons in some modes.

Maps

Some changes have also been introduced in the maps of VALORANT in the latest update. Some of these are discussed below:

The major change introduced in the Fracture is that now it has a specific objective for which both the teams try to aspire. The goal is a large satellite dish that is activated when you stand near it for some seconds, and When it is activated, there is a blast, and all the abilities and gadgets of the enemy get disabled for a small duration. 

Split has been brought back into the maps with some changes in its mid-area and the site known as B. The mid area now features a connector that provides an option to link the main room with the vent room, thus making a lot of options open for the attackers and the defenders. The change in the B site consists of a platform stretched to the back side from the defender spawn area; thus, the defenders are provided more elevation and cover.

Two maps taken down from Unrated and Competitive modes are Breeze and Bind. The purpose is to make certain improvements and changes. Breeze is equipped with greater ability for the diversity of team comp and the agent. Whereas the work being done on Bind is for increasing the diversity of strategies.  

Several bugs in the maps have also been fixed, such as fixing the issue where some players used to get stuck in some areas and the issues with some maps where the abilities tab used to clip with some wall panels.

System

The latest update has also made some changes to the system’s performance capabilities, such as security and stability of gameplay. Below are some of these changes:

Since its launch, VALORANT has been using Raw Input for devices. Now a setting named “Raw Input Buffer” has been set in place to increase the performance capacity of input devices. This setting would result in minor performance improvements. And major performance improvement is expected when used with 8000hz rate gaming mice.

In the past, some players used to experience game crashes which have now been fixed. The most common reasons for these crashes were outdated drivers, problems with the network, incompatible software, and corrupted game files. All these issues have been addressed in the update, and the game’s stability has been enhanced.

Major work has also been done to improve the game’s security. The minor issues that earlier used to result in exploitations by the hackers to gain unfair advantage have been fixed.
